Case 7 - A Little House In Manchester
Although this occurs before case six, it is listed here afterward because we had to return to the site because of continuing
phenomena. This will be explained......
On May 30, 2007 four members of Ghost Quest, Raven, Tammy, Kendra and Jennifer, were
sent out to investigate and possibly clear a home in Manchester. On arriving they noticed nothing out
of the ordinary and spoke to the owners.
Personal Evidence:
- The owner states the following experiences(These are some of the experiences, not all):
- "Shortly after we moved in, I was home alone one night. The dogs started
barking at the patio doors. When I went to investigate, I saw a bright light (as though someone had just taken my picture with a very
bright flash) and there was nothing there!"
- "About two years later, I was again home alone making breakfast. I put bread
in the toaster and green smoke started to come out. It was my last two slices of bread, so I decided to let it toast and then empty the toaster. I assumed the
smoke was from crumbs on the bottom of the toaster. When the toast was done. I went to unplug the toaster only to find that it wasn't plugged in!"
- "The cats would sometimes sit on the bottom stair, look up at the corner by the ceiling and just meow strangely, then puff up and bolt."
- "The kitchen cabinets were often found open, even though we always closed them. We thought it was because they were old and
no longer aligned properly."
- "I always felt like I was being watched."
- "The Closet door in the bedroom would open just a little- about a half inch. I
always made my husband check to make sure it was closed tightly before bed.
He would close it and it always reopened just a bit. We thought it was because it
was put together badly."
- "The closet door in the "CD" room would open. My husband blamed faulty hinges. It always bothered me, so when I was
home alone, I started putting something in front of it to block it-a lamp, a bag of cat litter, anything so it would
stay shut. One night I woke up to find the door open about
half way. A full bag of kitty litter AND a floor lamp pushed aside."
-Ever since we moved in, our two dogs would bark throughout the night. They would leap up and run into the kitchen and bark at the door or window,
or they'd run into the dining room and bark at the patio door. We always yelled at them for barking at "nothing"."
--Some other experiences (shortened for space)--
-Cell phone goes of at 3:33 a.m. nightly
-Taps and bangs on the walls floor and closet
-Jewelry missing and turning up elsewhere
-Punching sensation coming from under the bed
The first weird thing that happened. As Raven was got to the top of the stares
she got poked very hard in the right shoulderblade. The was an empty room behind her.
As they went in upstairs there was an uneasiness, but when they entered the back
bedroom the air was thick, oppressive and hot. They moved back into the "CD" room
and Raven began to contact the spirits there. She got in touch with a man called "Jim Burroughs"
This man seemed harmless enough and was there because it "was his house". The next spirits
she got in touch with were two children who she connected with relatives on the otherside. She did not feel anymore spirits there.
At that point they did a glass divination to contact any other spirits, but none came through. The
bedroom felt lighter and all seemed well. After relating what happened to the owners
the group left.
A few days later Ghost Quest got a call from one of the owners stating "The heaviness is back, things had gotten worse." Two
of the crew, Raven and Tammy headed back. Upon arriving there Raven smelled a foul odor before entering. Tammy did not smell this. They entered and upon going upstairs Raven
felt an ominous negative presence. Tammy and Raven immediately began a to do a clearing.
After the clearing the bedroom felt alot lighter and all seemed quiet. For almost a month things were good.....
In June we got a call stating that things were kicking up worse than ever. Raven went over to check things out. Not sensing anything.
She was told that after the last clearing,
the negative presence was gone and there was a smell of hyacinth in the bedroom....flowers are signs of a successful clearing....
Raven and Tammy decided to make sure Beckah and Katie were there for the next session. During the three days between,
Raven suffered from severe exhaustion, barely able to stay awake to drive, and felt severe pressure in her head.
Upon entering Beckah looked at "Ernie" the owners dog who was barking at her. The dog told her there was a portal
and told her where it was. (Even though there was a successful clearing done, because of the portal the spirits had a way back in)
Beckah being an energy reader was able to close the portal and she and Katie gave the house a final clearing. Immediately the pressure in Raven's head
eased and by the next day she was fine. The house still has the occasional spirit but they are quiet and don't bother anyone and the owners are at last getting the
rest they need.
