Rutland Prison Camp is one of the eeriest places we've visited. There are many foundations from the old prison. The icehouse, the vegetable house, the barns and wardens house even a hospital. The only structure that was truly still standing was the solitary confinement area. We had heard that this place was haunted, but we never expected what would happen on the warm spring day!
Beckah and Raven alternated on their walkthroughs, each picking up on the death and despair that encapsulated the entire area. There was no shortage of weird experiences but Katie by far experienced the worst of it. During a walkthrough with Beckah, Katie got slapped on the back of the neck. This produced a dimond shape red mark right below the hairline. As we were searching for other foundations Katie complained that she felt like she had been punched in the nose. "You know that feeling like when you get a nose bleed?" she asked. Upon inspection Katie had a few small cuts on her nose and her innerleft eye was bright red, just as if she had been punched. All in all it was an incredible investigation and we are definitely going back!!
